Marrero is falling back and making Cuellar miss the windmilled left. Marrero is countering tentatively with the right hook - and he is tentative for a reason! Cuellar catches and hurts him in an exchange. Marrero clinches. Marrero slumps weakly onto the middle rope as Cuellar batters his sides and shoulders. Ruled a knockdown. Marrero looks flabbergasted while facing down the count. BIG looping left by Cuellar. Marrero backs out, ducking some overhands. Marrero scoots in and meets Cuellar halfway with a big right hook on the chin. It doesn't slow Cuellar. Big lunges up top by Cuellar, and some flaps at the body. Marrero down to a knee, not ruled a knockdown.

Yep. I only caught the very end but he looked sharp.

Then highly ranked but little known welterweight contender Ed Paredes nearly shut out a journeyman, looking impressive as well.
