Starks is staying outside, letting his long left arm swing slowly at his side. Ponce is running laterally around him, occasionally darting in to flurry up at Starks' face and getting pushed back as Starks takes long steps away, ever in a relaxed stance leaning partially over. Big counter left hook, right cross by Starks as Ponce is rushing in. Delayed reaction fall, Ponce's leg quavering before he goes. He is saved by the bell.

Round 3

Starks is sticking his long jab into Ponce's face and then lowering himself atop Ponce to lay on him. Short flurries by Ponce while skipping out to his left. Ponce is looking to catch Starks walking in with the left jab but can't reach him. Long jabs by Starks walking in, holding on the inside. Wild hooks slashed out by Starks as Ponce jumps outside. More jabs moving in by Starks, another hold.

Round 4

Starks is jabbing and pushing down on Ponce with both forearms on the inside. Ponce is hurling in looping punches with both hands, jumping in and then tiptoeing out. Uppercut by Starks, landing on the high trunks of Ponce. Starks is flicking out jabs from the hip at Ponce, following him around the ring. Starks is teetering over and peering down at Ponce, watching him but not doing anything. Ponce shows a jab but pulls it. Another fake jab by Ponce and Starks takes the bait, lunging in with a 1-2 to back Ponce up. Hook by Starks. Clinch. Ponce slams Starks on the back with his right before they separate.

Starks is nothing special but he is barely getting touched. He is winning this ugly. Ponce gets high marks for effort and spirit, but he lacks the ability to deal with Starks' length and size - and negative style.
