ESPN2 FNF: Billy Dib vs. Mike Oliver RBR

Oh yeah...this is in Mike's hometown.

That is harsh, getting KTFO in front of friends and family. (probably)

 

Round 1

Oliver is flashing the right jab coming forward and arches his back to crowd in under Dib's elbows. Dib throws a 1-2, hitting the arms of Oliver as he parachutes in. Clinch. Oliver is pawing the right jab, making Dib watch the birdie. Oliver spins Dib into the ropes and stuffs a few underhand slaps as they remain tangled until Mike Ortega gets in. Right hand by Dib. Oliver grabs his arm, holding on. They both whack the body while holding, c-ocking their arms back and ramming in. Very messy infighting. Dib lands a pair of right uppercuts to the body pinning Oliver on the ropes. Oliver ducks past the waist and lowers his head as much as he can, grabbing Dib around the middle.

Round 2

Oliver grinds his face into Dib's chest after Dib misses an overhand right on the way in. They bump and scrape heads as they collide repeatedly on the inside, bumping violently as Dib tries freeing a hand to sling it up top again. Oliver is jumping in with bowed head to grab Dib around the waist after stepping out to pop a few right jabs. Dib muscles Oliver into the corner and digs in left hooks to the body while his right is wrenched up by his neck. Body shots traded. Oliver steps back and checks Dib's left jab by pawing his right. Oliver CATCHES DIB WITH A QUICK RIGHT CROSS WHILE DIB WAS OPEN. Dib goes into the ropes headlong but Ortega doesn't rule him down. Oliver jumps on him and flurries as Dib pushes in against him. BIG LOW BLOW BY DIB. Oliver is down and thrashing his legs in pain. Ortega deducts a point from Dib as the bell rings.

Crazy night.

First the Green food poisoning to eliminate the main event...and so far this is going nothing like expected. (well, it's been hideous as we all expected...but Oliver hurting Dib??)

 

He's actually been on his relative 'best behavior' for a few bouts now...but once he got buzzed the old habits came out...
