ESPN2 FNF: Billy Dib vs. Mike Oliver RBR

Round 3

Oliver is doubling the right jab and lines up a left cross while backing into a corner as Dib tanks in with a wild overhand right. They collide and bounce off each other. Dib leads with his skull and low blows Oliver AGAIN, partly with his fist and partly with head. Oliver yelps and winces, eyes shut. Ortega rightfully takes another point. The next Dib foul gets him disqualified. Big left hook by Dib pushing Oliver into the ropes. Oliver is keeping the left hand ****ed behind his chin while flashing the southpaw jab and scurrying from side to side. NICE counter right hook by Oliver while dancing around Dib, rocking Dib and making his glove almost brush the canvas. Another quick right hook by Oliver, backing Dib up. Oliver advances with his gloves zigzagging through the air to confuse Dib. Body feints by Dib, mocking Oliver's movements. BIG RIGHT HOOK BY OLIVER.

Round 4

Oliver is hugging the ropes, wrestling with Dib when he presses in and hacks at Oliver's guard. Counter left uppercuts and right hooks by Oliver, throwing fast combinations with his back to the ropes while ducking and weaving behind his guard. Dib turns southpaw and keeps attacking with overhands. Back to orthodox. Uppercuts by Dib leaning in, blocked. Oliver is trapped on the ropes but is staying low, protecting his face, shoulder-bumping Dib back and getting space to land a right hook, and generally outmaneuvering Dib on the inside. Dib carries Oliver to the next set of ropes and goes to work on the body. Looping right downstairs by Dib. Right hook up top by Oliver, missing.

I don't know what Atlas was talking about, crediting Dib's "work" at the end of the 4th. He wasn't landing anything cleanly.

 

Round 5

Oliver is letting himself get steamrolled into a corner as Dib throws left hooks and overhand rights at him with abandon. Oliver shies back and covers up while letting Dib unload, then explodes with a counter right hook on the side of the face. Dib is putting in right hands to the body and then rubbing his forearm and elbow across Oliver's face on the inside while crunching him into the ropes. Oliver lands a left hand lead, but has a very low output. Right hook by Oliver as Dib comes straight to him. Oliver blocks and dances around, showboating. Clinch as Dib catches up to him. Sloppy uppercuts inside by Dib.
