Kopylenko is wading in after Monroe and flopping atop him at the ropes when Monroe cruises to a resting state. Monroe keeps luring Kopylenko onto the double right jab, not scoring much with it but doing the only scoring between them.

Round 7

Kopylenko is walking into head-snapping right jabs and getting turned and countered up top with rocketing left hands. Monroe is keeping his eyes fixed up high on the much taller Kopylenko's face, turning smoothly and keeping his arms gathered in close and tucked high against his own face, throwing right jabs and then shredding the body with lefts up close. Kopylenko is shuffling to his left and pawing with jabs. Double jab on the chin and sneaky left hand by Monroe while ducking under Kopylenko's long arms. Right hook by Monroe, sagging his weight and dropping back as Kopylenko lurches after him. Monroe counters over a lazy Kopylenko left jab with a slapping right hook stepping around him.

Which three? :huh

The 4th and 5th someone could give him for being the aggressor and landing 1-2 good shots per round to knock out the gum shield (but someone would be very wrong to do so) but the 1st-3rd and the 6th and 7th have been all Monroe, barely ever getting touched.

 

Round 8

Kopylenko is following Monroe around the ring. Monroe dives in and hooks at the long torso of Kopylenko, grabbing and holding before propelling off. Straight punches exchanged at mid-range as Monroe slides his feet back, Kopylenko shuffling after him. Plunging 1-2 by Kopylenko, missing the head of Monroe as he ducks and shimmies aside. Kopylenko is trying to cut the ring off but not punching as Monroe twists into him and presses close to grab and push free. Monroe sticks the right jab and throws a few straight combos up top, getting Kopylenko to shrimp up and raise his left shoulder protectively over his face standing still. Monroe circles, switching to orthodox and showing a left jab but keeping it holstered. Monroe changes direction, back to southpaw. Kopylenko just watches him.
