Gatica is pressing in and pecking at Adams with the right jab and short hook off the jab. Adams is tilting back, curling up his shoulder defensively and countering with sharp 1-2s. Gatica is walking onto some hard straight counterpunches while forcing the action, paying the price to stay close. Adams ducks low and spins with his left wrist braced against Gatica's stomach, head dropped. Adams is hopping away, holding out his left arm to deflect Gatica's lunging shots.

Gatica is waving the right jab up in Adams' face as he pesters his way in close. Adams circles wide on his insoles, carefully placing accurate right hand leads on the bruised left eye socket of Gatica and backhanding a few light left jabs as he moves. Gatica walks into a HARD right hand and keeps on coming. Adams is circling away, catching shots on the palm of his right glove and crossing the left forearm diagonally against the right arm for an extra layer of defense. Left hook, right hand combo by Adams. Gatica is pushing in close with right jabs and sloppy left uppercuts, all arm punches. BIG right hand by Adams, wobbling Gatica. Flurry by Gatica, standing his ground.
