Double left hook from body to head by Petrov, taking a page from Carcamo's own playbook. Petrov throws away his left jab into Carcamo's guard and then scores a right hand on the chest and left hook over the guard swooping in and then up, then away. Constant slow and steady movement by Petrov. Carcamo is caught by the left hook on the jaw while straightening both arms down going for the body. Petrov is digging his right hand into the belt line of Carcamo. Sloppy uppercuts on the body by Carcamo, catching Petrov in a clinch as he plods into him. Carcamo turns 45 degrees away from Petrov and rolls out the southpaw jab from outside, batted aside by Petrov. Big counter left hook up top by Petrov as Carcamo tries to force an exchange stepping through.

Carcamo is looking ass tonight.

Petrov 49 of 115, 43%
Carcamo 32 of 87, 37%

 

Right? Carcamo has the better chin and more power, but skills pay the bills and right now the likeliest outcome is looking to be Petrov by knockout at this rate, unless Carcamo finds something in a hurry.

 

Round 3

Carcamo is made to miss with his right jab and scooping left from outside, Petrov getting in close to nail him with solid 1-2s or left hooks and then shrinking away, earmuffs on, ducking on the out-step and starting to move laterally before Carcamo is able to set and throw. Really nice boxing from Petrov. Counter jabs by Petrov. Carcamo is unable to establish his reach advantage, putting out the slow right jab and getting countered with 1-2s and left hooks as Petrov darts in and out with compact punching.

So far Petrov is even more impressive than Monroe Jr. was in the co-feature (even factoring in that Adams was much gamer than Carcamo has proven to be so far)

Round 4

Carcamo is caught fishing with an uppercut. Petrov is bouncing around landing hooks and right hands on the head and sides of Carcamo, never letting him take a moment to catch his breath or react. Carcamo is frustrated, doubling left hooks downstairs and hitting the elbow of Petrov. Jab into the guard and right and left slaps on the body diving in by Petrov, quickly getting out before Carcamo can hit him back. Petrov is doubling up on his uppercut as he orbits close on Carcamo, finishing each doubling sequence with an opposite hand power shot to confuse and disrupt Carcamo.
