Come on bro, you have to admit Mollo has big shots, did you see any of his earlier fights?

oh, and one more this, why the **** was Szpilka so intent on throwing uppercuts? left himself so wide open that any half-decent HW would of kept catching him clean, maybe this new ring experience will act like a bucket of cold water on him and he'll stop claiming he's the best Polish HW out there and get to work

turned it off after the official score, but I assume that they're critical of Szpilka, particularly Masternak, who's had some friction with Szpilka in the past

Never seen him live before, I did watch him on tape a couple of times however. Not saying he's pillowfisted but there was virtually no minute in this fight where Szpilka wasn't in danger of getting hurt considerably and I'm pretty Mollo's not that kind of frightening puncher.

If Szpilka has a fragile chin to hide, he should adapt his style. His head movement and his defense were very leaky and that's putting it lightly. His jab is good, and so is his speed but at this rate, he'll not get past a top 25 heavy.

Agreed....he needs much work on his D, he needs discipline and has to realize that this is not a street fight, he has to use his natural boxing skills

Major fall from grace, following a headline act world title eliminator loss with a non-televised 8-rounder against some Midwest circuit bum. (who last fought three years ago, getting dominated bell to bell and KTFO with body shots by Andy Lee)

Szpilka's got a bomb straight left and good jab when he snaps it out. he's a good heavyweight to throw in the current mix, but I can see Zimnoch knocking him out, who is another prospect.

Szpilka may be better but we saw what a guy with just straight up will and determination could accomplish.

I would grade mcline and mollo in the top 20-30, but give the boy some time to develop, I think he's got some natural ability, and hopefully will upgrade to better foreign trainer

GTFO out of here. How do you figure Mollo should have won when Szpilka KTFO him out???? If any thing, the ref was giving Mollo breathing room to rest while endlessly inspecting the cuts and Mollo was in trouble in almost all of the rounds. As a szpilka fan I was ****ing mad at the ref for calling so many timeouts in several key moments where Szpilka was dominating him. It just gave Mollo time to recoup and Mollo managed to bounce back after one of those time outs. Szpila massacred Mollo's face and showed his toughness overcoming a legit solid KD. Mollo was very tough as well, but we all knew that coming in. The guy fights on pure will. Szpilka needs to avoid brawling. I know his trainers always restrain him from doing so, but that is his first instinct and is proving difficult to undo. He did very well outboxing Mollo in half distance but Mollo is not good technically so can't give him too much credit there. His chin is actually pretty good. He got tagged with a huge clean hook, went down and kept on fighting like a man as if it were a flash KD, which it had no right to be. The KO was great!!! Very quick, hard straight shots, the essence of Szpilka's offensive skill. Can't place his power conclusively yet, but trust me, this cat will prove to be one of the quickest at HW. His speed and power could prove something to be reckoned with. Delayed reaction by Mollo, but felt it in the end and went down like a bludgeoned warrior and its only Mollo's second career stoppage. I understand Mollo's long lay off, but imo the guy is no ordinary bum and came 100% prepared, considering his layoff. He can be a solid gate keeper if he fights more often. Szpilka has had an 8 month lay off as well due to his leg injury but I want to see him matched up against a solid top 10 this year. And admit it: this was the fight of the night!

There is currently a standstill in the Zimnoch fight. Basically, it boils down to a frigid relationship between Zimnoch and Wasilewski (his promoter, Szpilka's as well) and this promoter has a nasty little clause that Zimnoch must stay with him for some period of time before he signs the fight with Szpilka. Zimnoch has already threatened he wiill not sign the contract, because of this clause, since he feels Wasilewski hasn't given him enough attention and oppurtunity to develop as a fighter. Imo this fight remains in jeopardy because of this + who knows what injuries Szpilka suffered tonight, despite his clean looking face. I'd say this fight is 50/50 to occur at this point. IMO Szpilka should target another, more well known opponent in 2-3 months and forget the quick but risky pay off here.

Yeah i read that. I really want to see that fight especially with their history but i fully support Zimnoch here. Doesn't seem like Wasilewski has done a great job with his career and he shouldn't be forced into signing an extension

read what they said just now, here are the translations:

Golota: Szpilka was a little lost at the beginning, but he stood up and finished the job. You can see that he wants to box, he has the hunger

Masternak: The fight was eye-friendly and interesting, but it had 2 phases. When the left hand, jab and right hook were in play, Artur controlled the fight, it looked good. When he stood on the ropes with his hands down, he was inviting Mollo's dangerous left hook. He and his trainer have a lot to work on

Pindera: It was an exciting fight, very fun to watch. It would be worth talking with trainer Fiodor Łapin, who has more to work on, because there are flaw's in Szpilka's defense

btw, Szpilka after the fight admitted he was wary of this fight, because it was his 13th, and he's a superstitious person :rofl

Mollo is a fool, but his style is so damn aggressive I can't help but respect him. Especially when he is fighting someone much bigger than he is.

His face was ****ed up from an elbow and a headbutt.

Any other fight I can think of and those cuts would have stopped the fight. Honestly, I'm surprised the 4th round even happened. The amount of blood filtering down into his eyes was insane.

We shouldn't have seen round 4, let alone gone on long enough for the KO to happen.

    Dude couldn't ****ing see.
