Round 2

Perez pokes the body of the shorter man with his right. Mamadjanov tries to answer in kind with his left down low but can't reach and isn't daring to travel under Perez's jab with that quick hook looming. Mamadjanov suddenly opens up with a big left hook from the hip and rocks Perez!! Big looping right and another hook as Perez looks to recover! Half a minute left. Perez holds. Break. Mamadjanov circles and waves out his right jab. Right hook by Mamadjanov at the bell.

They both look so much fresher after their twenty minute rest before the start of the 11th.

And also very different morphologically.

I'm cool with that. Not customarily a fan of the "late steal" myself unless it's something really decisive, but my instincts were tingling that Perez was badly hurt..

 

Round 2

Mamadjanov is circling left and popping his right jab up. Perez is able to pick him off at range with his left jab and straight right hands, past the southpaw jab. Quick left hooks from outside by Perez. They come together and clinch briefly, with Perez tossing Mamadjanov back a few steps and almost off his feet. Jabs traded until the bell, Perez's length making the difference.
