ESPN2 FNF: Delvin Rodriguez vs. Freddy Hernandez RBR

Round 1

Rodriguez is taking quick stutter-steps to his left and holding both arms out to catch Hernandez's jabs. Right hands to the side by Hernandez as they circle. Rodriguez is poking the jab out toward Hernandez's nose, caught up on the gloves, brushing them across the knuckles but still making slight contact. Rodriguez is circling right with short doddering steps, lands a couple of jabs and drifts back to the left.

10-9 Rodriguez, not much going on yet.

 

Oh man if they implemented OSDT for officials they'd bust Kenny Bayless first try for methamphetamine. :yep

 

Round 2

Gum shield out. Time in. Flurry of straights from Hernandez. Rodriguez momentarily retreats in alarm. Nice body shot by Rodriguez. Hernandez flips up a jab from the hip, then pushes it straight out from his chest. Slow, but measuring the distance. Rodriguez is threshing out with the chopping sideways jab as he moves left, then digs a hook to the body. Hernandez reaches with the left hook and grazes. He tries again, landing more firmly on Rodriguez's cheek. Rodriguez circles back and gets squared up to catch Hernandez coming in with a 1-1-2. Clinch. Sloppy body shots by Hernandez while bowing his face down, looking at the Corona logo.

10-9 Rodriguez but close.

20-18 Rodriguez

 

Both close.

1st round, both were inactive.

2nd, it picked up and both did work you could value.
