ESPN2 FNF: Delvin Rodriguez vs. Freddy Hernandez RBR

Rodriguez is swiveling in either direction, throwing jabs and right hands. Hernandez comes in and plants a high right hand on Rodriguez's brow, tilting his head back. Rodriguez answers with some hooks. Rodriguez pushes Hernandez back toward the ropes. Hernandez fights him off, landing the right hand. Rodriguez covers up for a moment, catching some punches on his arms, but then drops them setting up his counterattack and eats a few. BIG RIGHT HAND BY HERNANDEZ. Best punch of the night. That had a wet loud smack to it and spun Rodriguez's face around sharply.

Don't jump the gun. He ate a huge shot, but luckily it was late enough to not allow Hernandez much follow-up time. (and meaning Rodriguez was close to a minute break).

Rodriguez has excellent recovery faculties.

 

Round 8

ANOTHER head bump. Harvey Dock warns them both. Right hands down the middle and BIG left hooks to the body by Rodriguez. Hernandez is leaning into him, plugging away with soft body shoeshines. Rodriguez lands an explosive counter hook and pushes Hernandez back. Now Hernandez is cut badly on both eyes. Harvey Dock rules it from a butt. They check it out in the corner. It's getting stopped.

We'll be going to a technical decision.
