Not to thread hijack, but does anyone here know if Matthysse has fought yet? And if he has, the result?

    Round 10

Serrano pushes his left jab out, then lobs a right to the body, then slaps with a hook. Does he even know how to properly throw any of those punches in a crisp, textbook manner? :-( He's definitely the aggressor, though. Abril doesn't seem to want to try and take this thing by the horns and take risks for gain. He's just ducking in with his high guard and popping up inside to grab. A peppering of short counters on the inside, but nothing serious being put together by Abril. Serrano flips his lazy jab up into Abril's face and then ducks in as Abril spreads his base and tries to line up his right jab. Hard right upper-hook inside by Abril. Serrano lands a soft jab and cross. Slapping left hook and right to the belly by Serrano. Abril hacks with an overhand left and gets it tangled with Serrano's right, until the bell.

    10-9 Serrano

    96-93 Serrano

I would say Serrano wins this.

Abril did have the best punch of the tenth with the right hookercut - it just wasn't enough to make up for his two minutes' plus worth of relative inactivity/negativity IMO.

Ugh, the same score as you? I feel dirty. me and you tend to score things differently anyway unless the scoring is academic.

Teddy Atlas has 97-93 Serrano, giving Abril the KD round in the 3rd 10-8 plus the 6th - and the 10th even, 10-10. :think

Yeah that's what won the round for him IMO. Neither guy really had anything going for them, but that was a nice flush shot.

Steve Smoger must be doing the main event.......saw him sitting in the front row........I'd recognize that bulbous head anywhere.
