Boring fight. Glad Davis is winning though.

Lopez - "Oops sorry I hit you with the left hook." (while backing away)

    Round 8

Good right hand by Lopez, but Davis times it with a long left hook to the head. Lopez is drilling the right hand coming forward now, falling in with it and getting a bit more reckless from the outside. They lean together, Davis with his back against the ropes. Lopez pushes him into them, and they trade weak body shots. Davis slaps up high when they separate but only hits Lopez across the back before they come back together. Lopez misses everything wide. Lopez darts in and out after they finally split apart, with a jab cocked and loaded but not letting loose. Cracking right hand by Lopez. Davis has a jab blocked. Lopez jumps inside and clubs him with a right to the head (mostly forearm). Another clubbing right as Lopez leaps inside on top of him again.

    10-9 Lopez

    79-73 Davis

Davis had early success but did nothing late in the round.

Because after enough warnings he'd have to start taking points, and then...

They must have no-DQ clauses in their contract. :conf

You didn't think Lopez got the better stuff through in the 8th? (in an extremely annoying manner, but still..)

This fight reminds me of Golota-Ruiz. Lots of holding and punches to the back of the head.

Apart from the one right hand, nah not really.

I guess I'd probably give it to him in a comparative manner but he's pissing me off too much to gain my sympathy haha
