Douglin pokes out long straight flurries but is backing straight into a corner. Martinez tries to trap him there with uppercuts but can't. Douglin is ducking and squeaking out the side door, and landing some good right hooks to the flank. Right hook up top by Douglin as Martinez lands a pair of right hands atop his nose. Another good right hand by Martinez. Douglin is pushed back to the ropes, getting tagged hard. He ducks back and shrugs off the ropes, getting by Martinez and out into the open again but seeming a bit shaken up. Douglin leans in and trades slaps with Martinez. Long wild loose left hand by Douglin and they fall into a clinch.

Round 7

1-1-2 by Martinez backs Douglin up. Lots of ducking and sliding back by Douglin, not presenting a clear target. Martinez is landing his jabs to the face, just can't bring the right hand over. Douglin is falling very short with his right jabs off the back foot while trying to circle out wide. Both have low-sweeping body shots crash off hip and opponent's glove. GOOD 1-2 by Martinez caught Douglin dipping back against the ropes. Nice left by Douglin flurrying his way off the ropes. Right hand by Martinez, finding his range with it and starting to straighten it out and find the mark. Douglin is still a bit too fleet of foot for him and able to draw him along and make him overextend with his straight shots and not quite land cleanly. Martinez chops away as he gets Douglin near the ropes. Douglin slaps ineffectively at the body in return. Slapping left hook by Martinez is mostly blocked but almost lifts Douglin off his feet.
