    Round 8

1-2 by Martinez. Right hook, left hand by Douglin. They're trading some good shots now, both landing most of them. Martinez is off balance after missing a hook and Douglin leans forward up on his toes while flinging both arms out at him. They lean together and Martinez pushes off. Martinez is reluctant to engage, looking tired. Douglin harries him into a corner with soft flurries and right jabs to the face. Martinez is just looking to lean back into the ropes or forward into Douglin to clinch. Lazy jab by Martinez and Douglin slaps him with a combo. Martinez tries to wind up a 1-2 but is very slow now. Poorly timed uppercuts by Martinez miss. Douglin just tosses leather nonstop, missing a great deal but out working his man.

    10-9 Douglin

    77-75 Douglin

You might be able to chalk it up to nerves. I dont think either has ever fought on national TV before and probably have never even fought in front of a crowd like this.

And neither have fought passed the 6th before and is in against the best fighter they fought as a pro..... Oh and these guys arent exactly the class of American prospects.

Neither is anything like Pacquiao to my eyes, so I'm not sure who your automatic bias is towards.
