ESPN2 FNF: Erislandy Lara vs. Carlos Molina RBR

Round 8

Molina is staying outside and boxing smart, keeping his hands up and picking his shots but still wasting a bit of energy with unnecessary arm movement and toe-bouncing. Lara is offering nothing up. Molina keeps forcing him to slug it out and Lara wants none of it. Lara rocked a little by a right hand (physically - to clarify. I didn't mean rocked as in "hurt"). Molina is diving in with right hands to the body and bringing a high blind left hook in behind it as he falls into the clinch. Big right hooks now by Lara as he starts trying to plant his flag and win back some ground. Molina is all over him like a cheap suit, indeed. Literally. He's laying out the left stick-jab on the way in, and then turning it off to the side behind Lara's back and draping it across him to hold him in place so he can get inside and work his right hand.

Round 9

Molina is landing everything he wants to the body - left hooks and curling right hands above the hip. Lara is just a one-trick pony tonight - his right jab soaring up high and lunging left uppercuts/crosses coming behind it along with his rear left foot en route to clinches. Lots of clinches, btw. Another one of "these" rounds so far. Ugly, ugly, ugly. Molina is popping his jab. Lara grabs him. Molina dives in after the break and gets his arms around Lara's waist as Lara takes a big swipe with a right hook above his head. Molina isn't landing much now on the way into the clinches. BIG LEFT HAND TO THE NOSE BY LARA! Molina psyches himself up and nods, clapping his fists together. Molina dives in with his signature right to the body but isn't reaching Lara with it and iss getting countered with pitty pats.

10-9 Lara based mainly on that one shot (but probably also without it).

86-85 Molina

Lara can at best get a draw out of me, without a knockdown.
