I'm Johnson-Figueroa and I'm Puerto Rican. Town in PR we from is Loiza, where African slaves came from. It was Jhonson there, but somehow along the line, turned into Johnson here so go figure. There's still African blood in Cubans, Dominicans, and Puerto Ricans too, even though lots of Ricans won't acknowledge this.

    Round 2

Dorticos is curling his arms in powerful bursts at Herrera's head. There is a right uppercut to the balls as Herrera is lurching forward into it, and he is given time to recover. Dorticos keeps looping shots at Herrera's face, not worrying about connect percentage. Herrera is backed into a corner and gets his head rocked by a right hand but fights his way out. That just gives Dorticos more space to work and he drops Herrera. The count is beaten but so is Herrera, judging by his expressoin and body language. Dorticos pounds him and Tony Weeks says no mas.

That's always possible, the African explanation, and of course a lot of Americans settled in Cuba before the revolution too so that could be it.

We are his beloved torment, he seems to be addicted to black sausages.

WTF is Dorticos barking at? He's average at best. Just another Cuban hype-job. Telegraphed right hand, feet too far apart, flat footed...I could go on and on.

Well, I don't have any anti-Cuban agenda (El Cepillo is one of my all time favorites), but...

Dorticos does kind of suck.

Especially after seeing him right after seeing Jhonson, it's clear that he is MUCH less skilled. He is more aggressive, for whatever that's worth. :conf

The ideal is obviously a nice balance between the two of them. Dorticos' killer instinct with Jhonson's sharpness.

Dorticos was nothing too impressive, but then again he's compared to the top cuban fighters like Gamboa/Rigo/Lara/etc. who are clearly a step above him.
