Round 1

Starks is keeping himself upright, letting Gamez zip inside and throw crazy haymakers and miss badly. Starks isn't taking advantage of countering opportunities anywhere near as much as he could be. Just a lone jab and chopping right from Starks now and then. Atlas compliments him for knowing how to box tall, but his work rate is awful. Part of boxing tall is actually keeping the opponent spiked on the end of your jab. Starks' is almost non-existent. Gamez is just bouncing around on the outside and zipping in whenever he pleases to throw his horrible, badly missing flurries.

10-9 Starks I guess. I won't score a round on completely ineffective aggression, and Starks did land like two whole jabs. :roll:

 

Round 2

Gamez is actually landing, although his shot selection is no less crazy. Starks isn't doing a good job boxing tall anymore, as he needs to MOVE those long legs to avoid the rushes of the smaller man. Gamez is getting up in his face and flapping away at him, reaching up to palm him in the face. Double jab and uppercut from Starks, nice but not enough. Gamez is dogging him this round. Gamez hops on his toes on the outside, watching for openings (as though his style even lends itself to "openings" :yep). Starks is swinging left and right pendulum shots now to try and keep Gamez outside. Bush league stuff he's resorting to, having forgotten about his jab. Gamez gets him on the ropes and snaps those wet towel overhands at him.
