ESPN2 FNF: Hank Lundy vs. Patrick Lopez RBR

Round 3

Lopez comes out charging hard and Lundy stops him with a quick flurry. Lundy throws three straight punches unanswered. Lundy is ducking off to the right every time he finishes throwing. Lopez is turning, setting his feet, jabbing, missing, and starting all over again. Lopez walks right into a flurry trying to dig a left hand low, and is nearly knocked off balance (possible headbutt). Lundy is crouching and scuttling inside, and Lopez catches him with a downward left hand. Lundy circles out, playing keepaway. Body shot by Lopez. Lundy stays in front of him taunting behind a jab-feint. Lopez blocks a few jabs but doesn't advance. Lopez looks for an opening. Lundy is popping his left shoulder out with his lead arm low (now fighting orthodox). This is confusing Lopez a bit. Lundy blocks the right jab, and pulls Lopez into a clinch where both try to work. Lopez lands to the body with his left and Lundy blast him in the face with a counter right.

Round 4

Lundy plays with fire, ducking down right in front of Lopez and getting hit on the back of the neck and head before scampering back out. Lundy landing his quick lead left well (now a southpaw again). Lundy isn't circling close enough or committing enough snap to his jab to land it, but flicking it anyway. Thus his connect percentage plummets but he's keeping Lopez from cutting him off. Lopez is such a Rubik's cube, sometimes. He'll react seemingly very badly to a left hand and then seem 100% OK a moment later. It's like he shudders violently when hit, but then shrugs it right off. Anyway, Lundy still landed a lot more...even if he did waste a jillion missing jabs.

Round 5

Lopez is stabbing out with his right jab on the front-foot. Lundy is just leaning away from it and catching shots in his right palm with his thumb stuck out. Lundy all defense, having fun (or taking a short break). Now a few counter rights and quick left jabs from Lundy, who's been back to a right-handed stance again for this entire round. Lopez shimmies on the outside trying to fake Lundy out before swarming in with three to four punches at a time. Lundy smacks him with a blinding fast counter left hook while taking a graceful baby gazelle leap off to his right. Lopez keeps pressuring. There's a butt, and Lundy's cut.
