:deal That really makes a lot of sense doesnt it? Putting him against the best lightweight in the world is his best chance definitely.

    How was Teddy's performance tonight?

It sounds Atlas was super pissed at the Molina Kirkland stoppage?

Upset, Rios's chin is too good, Guerro has too much length on him. JMM is the best opportunity, he could pull a Raheem - Morrales on him.

The only thing I can think of is he means a different JMM than we are thinking of. I asked him to clarify but he seems to have left the thread on that none.

And Juan Manuel's chin isnt too good?

Onlty thing he would get from a JMM fight is a beating. Hes a better fighter than either Guerrero or Rios and obviously hasnt been diminshed much with age.

I scored the fight 97-92 for Lundy, giving Williams the 1st ( 10-8 ) and 7th (mainly for superior work rate) rounds. That was one heck of an entertaining fight!!! Lundy was beautiful to watch, and even though he made Williams look mostly ragged, Williams kept an active work rate, and always had the threat of the one big punch. I also loved the brief ESPN interview with Lundy afterwards when he shed a little light on the science behind his performance. I would really love ESPN to do more of that with other fighters.

Lundy would have a hard time laying a glove on him and JMM would NOT miss Lundy's chin.

To think Lundy has a chance in that fight you have to assume he is on the level of Pac or above. I don't care what crapupunch stats were. There were lots of punches in that fight that didn't land or land clean enough to really count. Tremendous defense by both guys. Now, take JMM's countering ability against Lundy's defense. This is one of the easiest fights in history to predict.

so you think Lundy would be the Raheem here? Totally different styles. JMM and Morales really are 2 different fighters as well.

I dont even know what to say about this.

I think Lundy would lose to all 3 fighters you mentioned but style wise his best chance might be against Rios! But he would still lose to Rios because he got knocked out by that bum John Molina. Rios >> Molina

Teddy Atlas said a profound thing earlier in the broadcast, that when a fighter is robbed of a victory, he has to take thousands of extra punches just to get back to where he already had been. Every single incompetent or corrupt judge should think very hard about that. Boxing as a whole could help by paying less attention to W-L records and more to the performances, and giving wronged fighters the opportunities their performances deserve.
