    He's okay. Totally inexperienced, though. Smooth boxer, not much pop.

    I actually favored him to upset over Chris van Heerden in January. One judge scored it 9-1 to McCalla. The other two had it 96-94 and 97-93 CVH. :huh

    I've seen varied reports; some that McCalla was robbed and some that feel the 9-1 card was the ridiculous one.

    Yeah. Before that his record was fair but padded.

    I did see his victory over Godoy on ShoBox last year, and it was a legit shutout. He totally outclassed Godoy, who brought in a 13-2 record of his own. So make of that what you will. :conf

    He shouldn't be ready for or in the league of Smith, who a) didn't exactly get wiped out by Lara, and b) arguably got robbed against Molina before that.
