Theophane is jogging around, ducking and covering when Montes throws a jab or whipping right. Theophane is doubling the jab up into Montes' eyes stepping in. Montes remains fixed in place and dropping a guard-dog jab on Theophane, keeping it on a short leash and holding both gloves up just below his chin when not punching. Theophane is doubling quick light jabs darting in and holding. Montes is throwing away jabs into Theophane's guard and looking to dig on the body. Looping right by Montes grazes. Jab by Theophane.

Theophane is circling and jabbing, diving in to clap Montes with rights on the shoulder. Left uppercuts by Theophane while spiraling in, then out again. Montes is stalking and looking to rope out that long right hand or work the body in close and roughhouse in the clinch when he can force himself atop Theophane.

Miura vs. Dib > anything on tonight. (and that's despite being somewhat of a mismatch)

Theophane is working combos on the face of the more aggressive tall skinny Mexican, shooting up with both hands on the backfoot, starting to gas slightly. Theophane mouth-breathing and taking an extra second to set himself and get balanced each time he throws now. Montes is pressuring but still not landing effectively.

Round 9

Theophane is starting to hurl up boulder rights at the clouds, smashing into the face of Montes. Theophane is forced to brawl as Montes closes the distance but still has the faster hands and is hitting forcefully enough to at least slow Montes down (and he is already slow) and take an extra step in retreat before Montes can reach him, even though Montes is smirking off all his shots.
