Montes just keeps flailing away with overhand lefts and rights, very sloppy. Fuentes drives in and rips the body with some hooking shots. Montes jogs backward to the ropes. Fuentes spears at him with a left. Fuentes stands in front of Montes and eats a couple of jabs and rights to the lip. BIG LEFT HOOKS BY MONTES!! A pair of them land flush. Fuentes isn't moving his feet or head. Big right hook to the body by Fuentes. Clubbing left forearms to the back of the head by the taller Montes. Right hooks to the body leaning in by Fuentes. Montes is missing some of his clapping downward shots from outside and getting nailed with counter right hooks and straight lefts by Fuentes.

    Fuentes still bringing the more effective pressure with hard hooks to the body and head. Big left hook to the head of Montes gets his attention. Fuentes hitting Montes with hard lefts to the body really getting Montes's attention. Montes lands a nice right, but Fuentes comes back and is back to landing hard lefts. Montes eats a left uppercut at the end of the round.

    The initial knockdown was amazing. When they showed it in slowmo you could see the dude's eyes roll back in his head right after the punch landed.

    Fuentes is calmly walking to his left, catching Montes with uppercuts and the southpaw 1-2 as Montes comes lunging in with overhands. Fuentes strings Montes along toward the ropes and looks to catch shots on his right forearm. Montes is able to slap through with some hooks behind the glove. Fuentes drives him back with right jabs, upper-hooks, straight lefts, big right hooks upstairs. Montes is having brief successes here and there with his slapping hooks and celebrating and playing up to the crowd instead of getting back on D. Fuentes is making him pay.

    Montes comes out hurt Fuentes with a hard left himself, but Fuentes recovers. Fuentes landing left hands again. Fuentes landing nice right hooks and following with straight lefts to keep Montes on the defensive for the last half of the round. Excellent come back for Fuentes after a shakey beginning.
