    Round 1

Despaigne stays pivoting in the center of the ring and jabs, flicking out some long right hands. Sillakh circles wide and tries to reach in with some straight and hooking jabs. Sillakh is caught with a jab on the cheek while circling slowly. Despaigne surges forward with a 1-2 but Sillakh slips off to the side. Sillakh leads with a right, blocked. Despaigne gets jabbed in the face. Despaigne tries a hook to the body but Sillakh shimmies away. Despaigne double jabs forward. Sillakh throws a three punch combo and shoots back outside. Despaigne feints a jab and then leaps in with a hook. Sillakh is moving well, staying just outside. Despaigne is leaping at him on every turn with lunging jabs and hooks. Sillakh whacks either side of his head with some curveball shots while backing up.

    10-9 IS

Good first round. Rationally scored either way. I go for Syl.

I've been pronouncing it the latter way.

Sillakh round, more effective overall. I think I've also noticed that he completely lacks the ability to parry a jab-exploitable weakness.

    Round 2

Despaigne is the aggressor but Sillakh is countering well off the backfoot, his stance neither too narrow nor too wide. Despaigne is lifting and dropping his guard and rolling his shoulders a lot coming forward, very kinetic. Despaigne keeps trying to loop right hands around and getting countered. A few of the looping shots catch Sillakh on the side of the neck and shoulder. Sillakh is smiling, landing lots of chopping counter combos. Despaigne is hurt badly by a right hand that comes around and hits him unseen from off to his left!! Despaigne is down from a follow-up flurry!!! Despaigne is saved by the bell!!!

    20-17 Sillakh
