Damn, did you notice the video effect they put on the punches, in that promo they just showed? Some kind of "shock wave" effect, or something.

it looked cool, and probably will wow the casuals, but I'm not sure I liked it. Reality can be a beautiful thing, esp in this sport.

"There is interest and intrigue FOR ME in this fight."

Teddy Atlas is so greedy. No interest and intrigue for the rest of us?

Atlas does make a valid point about Fortuna - all of his knockouts come early. Is he just a front-runner?

Does Franco just need to hop on his bike and survive the initial onslaught and then work his way into the contest? :think

Yeah thats how I see it, that maybe Fortuna will go for the finish early and if Franco can stand up to it, it'll go to the cards. Franco will probably be cagey at the start. Only 10 rounds though so Franco can't afford to throw them away either

"Touch gloves, touch gloves...get outta here"

    - referee Jared Ritter, decked out in the dopest, illest magenta-fuchsia reffing shirt you ever saw.

It really compliments his bald, eggplant-shaped neon-orange head. :good

    Round 1

Batista is jabbing and hooking in on Cintron, reassembling his guard after each combo. Cintron is leaning back and turning with his left arm folded across his side to roll with the attacks, then tipping forward to counter when Batista shells up. They are taking turns, throwing single jabs or two punch combos at the most. Right hand by Cintron, caught on the arms. Cintron misses a left hook and they clinch.

    10-9 Cintron

We could use a Ray Mancini today. He would gobble up all but a few of the lightweights going.
