    Round 4

Dobey hammers down with a high right hand, as Caldwell dives in and whacks the body with his head left flapping in the breeze. Dobey is focusing all his defense on keeping out head shots - and pretty much doing so. Everything Caldwell touches him with is to the body. Dobey's offensive output is anemic, though. Dobey jabs and chops with his right. Caldwell gets a flush right hand in during an exchange, actually landing the looping shot past Dobey's straighter one. Caldwell is now cut by both eyes, all from clean punches.

    40-36

Osuna gives a shout to grizzled ring veteran David Diaz, who just retired and will now host a radio show and spend more time with his three kids.

Paredes and Guzman were both in against overmatched opponents who nevertheless made the fights last a bit longer than they should have. I am eager to see Paredes in against a higher caliber fighter who can be competitive with him. Guzman, though, after mugging, clowning, and spending half the fight waiting to land a knockout punch, is in danger of sliding into irrelevancy unless he decides to rededicate himself, and again fight world class opponents. As a bonus, nice competitive walkout fight, I had no problem with the draw, but the way the judges arrived at it was rather bizarre.

Edit: Nice to see Shannon Briggs in the crowd, he's looking pretty good.

Yeah, I saw that.. it was a great shot, but his ****ed up reaction ruined it for me.

The thing that made the Guzman one great was how Pabon took the left just before and was all like "that all you got?" then Guzman unloaded a 2nd left that just flattened his ass.

Still feels to me that Guzman is at least a weight class or two abovr where he should be. Broner vs Guzman, I'd love to see.
