ESPN2 FNF: Joel Julio vs. Anges Adjaho & Sadam Ali vs. John Revish RBR

Round 5

Jab battle. Circling on the outside. Ali is throwing some lazy 1-2s from far out, falling in behind them with his chin up in the air. Revish isn't exploiting this flaw. WHOA, lights out again. Ali throws a wide left hook and Revish pops him with a right to the chest. Revish is lining up his 1-2 and trying to time Ali coming in. Hooking combos by Ali. Revish defending well but getting his head snapped by every third or fourth shot thrown by Ali. Revish doing a good job only taking one flush hit at a time, tilting his head back, leaning against the ropes, shrimping up into Ali, veteran tricks from a 15-bout pro. Revish lands a nice flurry but gets caught with another head-turning hook. Ali jabs him hard into the ropes as Revish puts all his weight on his back foot with his front one dangling up in the air again and John nearly loses his balance.

Competitive but clear Ali round, again.

Round 6

Revish lands a couple of quick jabs and an overhand right behind them. Revish doing a good job turning Ali with little stutter-steps to the left and jabbing Ali in the face as he winds him clockwise in the middle of the ring. Ali tries to surge forward and flurry Revish into the ropes with slapping hooks but is getting scouted and popped with straight shots. Punch stats would maybe show Ali busier this round but Revish at the higher % so far. His best round all night. Revish goes for a body and then lifts his right hand mid-launch to zap Ali on the side of the head as Sadam drops his hands and leans away. Revish is caught with a stiff jab that snaps his head back. Damn. EVERYTHING snaps his head back (but hardly anything hurts him). Revish keeps timing Ali with that 1-2 and catching him into clinches as Ali zooms inside throwing, not landing, and getting swept away with his momentum unable to hit the brakes. A nice flurry from Ali including a hard hooker-cut. They hook together and REVISH LANDS FLUSH!
