Round 2

Santana is still walking forward with his body cheated out to his right, trying to catch jabs on his left bicep or pinned between his chin and right glove...or roll away from them altogether. He isn't doing terribly well at that. A few good left rips to the body by Santana reaching forward. Perez backs up, gets some more range on him and keeps popping that jab up in his face and scraping the top of his shoulder. Santana is no longer reaching him with his hooks.

Round 3

Perez jabs to the chest and then slings a right over the top. Santana backs up to the ropes to make him miss. Perez keeps chipping away with two and three shot combos to the body while worming his way underneath Santana's guard, occasionally flipping jabs up into his face. Good left hooks to the stomach mixed in with the jabs upstairs by Perez. Santana backs up and loads up on big wide hooks to the body, scoring a bit but not deterring Perez. Flush jab by Santana. Perez jabs to the chest and then covers up, blocking a Santana jab and a heavy right cross. Jab to the belt line by Perez. Right hand to the ear by Perez, clipping Santana as he leans over to his right side and creating the momentary illusion that he'd stunned Santana. Perez busily marches forward and throws quick straight punches out of his guard, shoulders hunched up.

Outcomes ranked in order of likelihood, IMO:

1) Santana gets an unpopular gift.

2) Santana scores a late knockout.

3) Perez actually gets the win.

4) Draw.

 

Round 4

Perez is pushing his jab into the gut of Santana coming forward hard and low. Santana tries to sweep out behind Perez's head with hooks, or plant an uppercut on the bottom of his chin - but can't penetrate his defenses cleanly. Perez eats a few jabs while circling out for a moment, then pushes back inside behind his forearms and trades some body shots and overhands with Santana. Big left hook to the body by Santana. Right hand to the face by Perez. Overhand right by Perez, and a jab to the belly. Jab by Santana. Jab to the belly by Perez.
