    Round 7

Santana softly hyperextends his jab, twitching it beyond the elbow and just brushing the top of Perez's hair with it as the journeyman ducks low with his fists up high at his brow. Perez effectively slips jabs coming forward and tries to land his own lunging in. Santana is pushed into the ropes, and Perez muscles into him while landing left hooks to the rib cage. Santana has several jabs blocked. Jab to the body by Perez, and more ducking and weaving. Santana circles wide out to his right, taking quick steps all around the ring. BIG LEFT HOOK by Perez. Another. Santana refuses to put his hands up, just keeps circling away with them down at his sides. Leaping jab by Perez lands. Left hooks. Santana backs up with a partially blocked hook to the head and starts to push out his soft jab again.

    10-9 Perez

    70-63 Perez

    69-64 Perez.

Santana literally turned his back and ran on Perez for part of the round. Santana better start throwing punches or he is going to lose.

    :huh

We've got an upset (or outrageous robbery) brewing here...and how can you help but salivate over the main event?

You have to remember, it's FNF. Expectations should be kept low. :yep

Worse, ran with his hands down. Eating multiple hooks in a row at long range from a shorter man is unforgivable. :-(

Burgo-Cruz is a good fight. Stop complaining until after it happens.

Well Campillo-Cloud left a nasty ass taste in my mouth so I am hoping this makes it better.

There is no way Peres loses unless he gets stopped.

    Round 8

Perez is bulling his way in low, smashing Santana with that climbing left hook. Santana tries to bow over to his right, stick his shoulder out into Perez's throat, and crescendo into a flurry with backhanded tap-jabs and then hooks. Perez has almost everything scouted and blocked, and is digging away at the body with left hooks and right hands. When Santana drops his hands, he gets hooked in the head. Big right to the chin by Perez, caught Santana's attention!

They better not rob Perez. He is tougher then his record suggests, I heard he almost bet/ Should have bet Gesta! But I didn't see it since Mayweather-Ortiz was at the same time.

Interesting. :think That was the first round it seemed Perez was able to maybe hurt Santana a little. (or at least stun him)

    Perez 79-73.

Santana should catch Perez when he comes inside but does nothing.
