Decent chin, I think was more fatigue there, he looked exhausted, just before he went down.

    Mentally fragile.

You could tell he was really put off by how Gonzalez kept crowding him from very early on, so there were red flags. Then he went down and easily could have gotten up but just didn't want anymore. Real natural born fighters will suck it up and keep pushing through fatigue, heat, pain, whatever...

The ol' avatars helped a lot with instant identification, IMO :yep

    (while between fights....)

Do you know much about this Diego Chaves that Thurman is scrappin' with tomorrow?? He's an undefeated Argentine, is about the extent of my knowledge.....

KTFO? :yep Maybe if Dos Santos had gotten up.

It was a decent knockdown, but he didn't go to sleep or anything. He was just sitting there mulling it over, and you could see the gears turning. "Nah...I'm all set..."

    That doesn't qualify as KTFO.

He's pretty decent actually, not just a padded record - but it's hard to say how well he will do against Thurman, because I still can't exactly get a read on Thurman. He never really impressed me until last time out against Zaveck (especially since he fell about fifty thousand miles short of living up to all the hype, looking very ordinary in my first glimpse of him against Orlando Lora and then not proving much by thrashing a walking-dead version of Quintana) but that result & the performance did impress me...although how much of that was styles, and was that his best form, and can he replicate that consistently? :think

Put it like this - I'm not yet ready to set one foot on the bandwagon as of now...but I'm slowly warming up to him as being a legit talent and more performances/results like the Zaveck one will keep him on a steady course to getting my respect. Dominating Chaves would count.

Chaves v Thurman will be a shoot out, I just think Thurman is that bit more technically sounds and Chaves is a bit more open, should be a good one though. Got Arakawa v Figureoa as the show stealer though.

    Interesting, thanks. :good

Yeah, I agree on Thurman.....just like you said.

Maybe with Chaves there will be a new "Brother" to the Sergio, Maidana, and Lucas "Brother-Hood" :p

This next one is dangerous because of the late-er KO pick you have. :bbb

No worries, IB. I actually missed the KO while doing a bit of housework so it's not like I'm in any position to complain about any supposed lack of observation. :good

You almost stood up Mini-Burgos. :scaredas:

If Amidu springs the upset on him, it's because you jinxed him. :bart
