Round 1

Lazy jab by Lacy. Big right hand by Barrera. Lacy is hurt and shelling up, backing into the ropes. Barrera opens up. Lacy walks out to center ring, crossing his arms over his face and teeing off with some nervous overhand rights, quickly wrapping himself up after each one. Barrera pushes him into a corner with power combos. Left hooks and right hands by Barrera, starting to push Lacy back onto his heels. Lacy is knocked on his ass by a left hook setting up a poke-jab and big right cross. He's up but rickety. Barrera comes in slashing with right hands across the neckline and digging low with left hooks. The ref warns Barrera to keep them up. Lacy is pounded into the ropes, wilting. Lacy's legs are kaput. Barrera nails him with a right hand and Lacy rolls back with it, legs splayed, jerking his head nearly between the ropes. Barrera lunges in with a grazing jab and chops Lacy across the shoulderblade with a right hand. Lacy clinches and shoves out from the corner. BIG left uppercut on the diaphragm by Barrera, pinning Lacy into the turnbuckle.

Round 2

Barrera is jabbing into Lacy's bottom lip from outside, hulking over him. Lacy crouches and bobs in and out, in a boxing rhythm, side to side, throwing jabs and slipping the feints of Barrera, reacting to everything. Lacy is very jumpy and nervous, tight. Barrera is calmly jabbing at him from outside, hands down. Long right hand by Barrera. Lacy is forced to lean in and put up the earmuffs as Barrera lobs another long right at him from above, then hit with a double left hook to the body and behind the right ear. Barrera steps back to dodge a badly missed reaching jab by Lacy, planting his lead foot sloppily, wooden and imbalanced. Barrera is thumping on the body with the right hand and then pulling back, letting Lacy off the hook repeatedly although his body shots are folding Lacy up every time. Left hooks on the body by Barrera, opening up with a slicing right around the back of the head and a higher hook. Barrera NAILS Lacy on the nose with a right cross after missing a jab with Lacy leaning back over the top rope. May have shattered Lacy's nose, but Lacy stays up.

Round 3

Barrera is leading with uppercuts. Clubbing right. Lacy shies into a corner and contorts himself, left shoulder moving protectively over his face, looking terrified as Barrera moves in and smothers himself. The ref pushes Barrera out to center ring. Barrera comes in and lands another right and Lacy's legs stiffen. Barrera is cuing Lacy into the corner with his jab and then spearing in rights on the gut. Lacy is doing lots of hedge-hogging. Whipping left hook downstairs by Barrera. Lacy's head is rocked back by a jab at mid-range. Barrera doubles up on a straight right lead and hurts Lacy, but can't pin him on the ropes as Lacy plods quickly to his left, surviving.
