To be fair, I think Tolmajian would make a ***** of a night for a lot of prospects at Chamaco's stage of development.

Roy is all about the fookin' hooks mayn.

Rated-R Holt has a fairly bad ass hook (or double/triple) as it is, wonder if we gonna see some good **** from him with Roy in the corner with him.

    Round 5

Jones says that Lopez is allowing the rangy southpaw to lead too much on him. That's exactly what's happening. Every time Lopez thinks about stepping in with a jab he already has a wrecking ball headed his way as Tolmajian keeps moving around him. Huge looping lefts land for Tolmajian. Lopez is backed up, and has to stop and reset to launch his right hand - telegraphing it. Tolmajian is using some very quick head and upper body movement to roll with Lopez's punches and counter him with looping bombs. Lopez hops in place and shuffles back, trying to snap out his jab and throwing some right hand leads that he seems to have extreme difficulty keeping straight. They sputter and fall halfway to target, like a baseball thrown by a pitcher whose count has exceeded 100.

    50-45 Tolmajian

Can't argue that. But the fact Lopez has only fought 4 guys with a winning record doesn't do much in way of his pro experience going into this one.

    Round 6

Tolmajian throws some uppercuts recklessly in the center of the ring, and Lopez is thus able to land a bit. Big left hooks for Lopez, finally backing Tolmajian up. Clubbing rights by Lopez chugging forward. Lopez is rolling his left glove around, waving it up and down, leaning a bit to one side to get a different look at Tolmajian - always keeping his guard up. Tight, careful boxing by Lopez. Tolmajian stays loose on the outside, shaking his arms out before throwing long uppercuts and overhand lefts. Lopez keeps coming forward, now blocking all of Tolmajian's looping shots. Clinch, and they grind foreheads together. Both have bruises around their eyes, from a combination of punches and the mutual grinding of heads. Right hook by Tolmajian is countered by a straight right from Lopez

    10-9 Lopez

    59-55 Tolmajian

Oh, since I don't think the failure of Tolmajian to make weight has yet been addressed in this thread (although Teddy and Bernardo have mentioned it about a dozen times) - Gabriel is functionally a lightweight tonight.
