Ortiz seems like a good kid, but not sure how I feel about his personality.

I like, and have liked Ortiz, he seems like a good person outside the ring, and is well spoken. And the Berto fight made me love the kid as a fighter.

Ortiz is definitely trying to be the next Oscar (and for good reason, look at all that money DLH made). He's charismatic too, hopefully he can become a huge star for boxing.

It has the appearance that he may take the "villian" role in this one. IMO, he may get support in that just because it's Mayweather that he's actin' like a villian against.

Ortiz is going to get the beating of lifetime, he showed how he copes with adversity against Maidana, Mayweather is going to put on a clinic and stop him late.

this might sound odd but i did not fault him to much after the maidana fight. He made me a fan for sure after berto. I am ambivalent about him fighting floyd.. it most likely way to early. but how could a guy turn down a shot at the man...

Dont kniw if hell be the villain, but I have a feeling Floyd will get more fan support in this fight than any of his others

    Yep.

There's the whole Golden Boy aspect, which he's definitely been getting groomed into.

There's the question of his willingness to go to war despite being more than capable of doing so (like Oscar).

Both have the hook as their money punch (Victor the right, Oscar the left) and throw it well downstairs.

Both sound a little affected/gay when speaking English.

Like it's fair to use the maidana fight in the comparison to damn mayweather no way Floyd would try to attempt that kind of fight anyway. Plus berto gave him adversity.

It's actually refreshing hearing you say that. But you hit the nail on the head, how could Ortiz turn down a fight with Floyd, and he's a major title holder so he's obviously not too green.

I'm pumped for Ortiz vs Mayweather, I think it's a solid LEGIT fight.
