    Gesta comes forward pecking with his right jab from outside. Barnett is still doing the better work from range, and moving a bit more nimbly around the ring. Gesta is trying to slap in with a right hook taking a long step with his lead right foot. Barnett stuffs a left jab in his mouth. Whipping right hand around the guard by Barnett. Constant movement by Barnett. Tripled up jab on the step by Barnett. Gesta comes forward, arms spread apart slightly as Barnett tries to thread a jab through. Oh, Gesta caught him with an uppercut. Barnett was hurt a bit, but not as much as the partisan crowd hoped & believed. Barnett curls up into a ball and backs up, letting Gesta's follow-up punches graze along his bicep.

    Gesta didn't buzz him enough to steal it, IMO.

    I don't know if it's just a subconscious thing for Gesta, or if he intentionally tries to mirror Pacquiao. . . but he really does have some similarities to Pacquiao.

    The way he bounces on the balls of his feet, jumps in with his lead left. . .


    Of course there are differences as well - I think he has better uppercuts than Pacquiao, and he uses his jab better. Can also stand in the pocket, and pick shots off better.


    Of course htem both being Pinoy will enhance what similarities that are.
