    Left and right hooks by Katsidis. Mensah is pushed into a corner. Right hand by Mensah. Right uppercut by Mensah. Katsidis keeps working body shots. Katsidis uses his elbows to keep Mensah held in place on the ropes, and hooks away to the body. Mensah shrinks back and crosses his right forearm vertically across his throat, knuckles held under his chin to absorb shots. Mensah is looking to slip in uppercuts as Katsidis keeps cracking all over his shell. Backhand jab by Katsidis. Left and right hooks. Mensah is driven across the ring. Double jab to the chin by Katsidis. Big wide hook lands by Katsidis, glancing. Mensah is rolling side to side against the ropes, catching some shots on his right palm. Counter rights by Mensah from off the ropes, but Katsidis is ducking under them and hooking away. Stiff forearm by Katsidis. Straight rights by Katsidis. Mensah drifts out to his left and lands a jab. Left hook to the jaw by Katsidis.

    Never seen Mensah before but he's handling Katsidis on the inside and picking his shots pretty well so far. Not sure if he can take this pressure for 10 rounds if he can't seriously hurt Katsidis.

    Albert Mensah won the round easily and clearly with his crisp counter punching on the inside, while blocking and smother all of Katsidis's work. He touched the body of Katsidis hard with the left and landed the right hand repeatedly on him. He let the jab out at the end .
