Round 1

Petrov is twitching and weaving as he walks forward, goalposts up as he leans to either side, rising with left hooks to back Rudd up. Rudd is dancing away, scissoring his long spindly legs and firing kinky double jabs. Petrov is ducking and leaning in, catching Rudd's jabs and right crosses on his forearms and tagging Rudd on the back-step with line drive rights coming up on the balls of his feet applying pressure on the lankier man.

Round 2

Petrov is ducking in past the Rudd jab and double-hooking the long torso. Rudd is compass-turning, pivoting off the left foot and swinging the right leg around while he adjusts his distance to push out with the left jab. Petrov is moving inward, bowing down with his arms up to serve as equal part jab shield and battering ram, then hooking the body up close.

Round 3

Petrov is sticking his jab out to knock Rudd's aside. Rudd backs up and flicks double and triple jabs, wrist-snapping them. Clinch. The ref warns them "no more hugging". Petrov comes in and bangs Rudd with uppercuts on the ribcage. Overhands by Petrov bashing Rudd into the corner, making Rudd clip in half. Rudd tries flopping into Petrov to grab, and is caught by a flush right hand on the jaw. Uppercut by Petrov sharply turns Rudd's face. Wide slaps by Rudd on the inside, very light, getting caught with counter hooks while attempting to push down on Petrov and swallow him up in a clinch, unsuccessful. Petrov is catching long jabs on the gloves, creeping forward, BIG right uppercut on the lip by Petrov stepping inside. Rudd curls his left arm around Petrov's neck and hangs off him until the bell.
