    Am curious to which level did the weight affect George.

    He did say he moved down to have a size advantage but even he admitted it will weaken him to some degree.

    Obviously he's not a middleweight.

    The verdict is officially in on Truax - probably never will be within sniffing distance of elite or even top 4 in his division (even should he maneuver his way to a belt), but all notions of him being a mere "scrub from the Midwestern circuit" who can't hang with or pose difficulties for anyone on that plane may now be disabused permanently. The kid has given JT heck and beaten half a dozen respectable mugs ranging from C+ to B grade. (Vanda, Kolle, Phil the Drill, Hope, Echols, and now George)

    If people think this fight was brutal, they should check out George's ass beating at the hands of Sierra.

    That fight was brutal. One of the nastiest thrashing of recent years.

    Why is Malignaggi so confident? I don't get it. Has he been paid to hype this fight up? Almost certain Broner will knock him out cold. Malignaggi lost a step, easy to find and hit as the fight goes on.

    I don't think Stevenson sparks Truax.. and I'm not sure he beats him..

    ..but then again I'm not all that impressed that Stevenson KO'd Dawson to be honest.

    Dawson mentally checked out during the Pascal fight and never really checked back in.. sans beating Hopkins.. which again.. at this point.. isn't all that hard to do.

    Well, he was also in with a much lesser talent here. (and yes, even now, Jermain is still a cut above someone like "Da Bomb")

    Truax was a bit of a late starter, guy is still improving. Was almost solely a counter puncher type earlier when he took on Taylor. Learned to let his hands go more lately and paying dividends.

    Nope. I follow him on social media and he spent the last couple of weeks describing his camp, bragging what great shape he was in, posting frequent pictorial updates on his progress making weight. (in between he and his cute girlfriend cavorting around town)

    He came in perfectly fit.
