Round 5

Laczszyk is darting in with the single and double jab, dispensed with his thumb facing rightward and palm down as though he were holding the handles of an exercise pull-band. Diaz is plunking the right hand down on the body as Laczszyk comes in but getting outscored by the light jabs of Laczszyk, who is clinching and backing out to reset after each approach.

Round 6

Laczszyk is falling in with the soft double and triple jab up top. Diaz is swinging in wrecking balls on the body of Laczszyk while ignoring his jab, some getting incidentally blocked on his wrists but not through any particular effort on his part. Laczszyk is repeatedly diving in to hold and quickly releasing to spring away, while Diaz keeps walking him down and pounding the body with long hooks.

Round 7

Laczszyk is doubling his jab, while Diaz pot shots with his. Laczszyk's jab is faster and busier; Diaz's is longer and harder. Laczszyk misses the first jab but steps in and lands the second. Diaz waits and jabs him as he is backing out, finding him when he thinks he is beyond reach. Diaz fires a 1-2 and Laczszyk ducks in past it, chopping Diaz on the chest with a right. Left hook by Diaz. Laczszyk dances outside and then holds when Diaz comes forward jabbing over his head. Laczszyk wrestles Diaz onto the ropes and is warned for leading with the head. HARD right hand by Diaz. Laczszyk is rocked. Another right hand by Diaz as Laczszyk trades with him. Laczszyk flops in on him and holds. Jab and big looping right hand whipped in by Laczszyk. Diaz shrugs it off and keeps moving forward. Left hook to the body by Laczszyk.

Round 8

Laczszyk is hopping away as Diaz unfurls a long, slow jab to the body. Diaz is pitching in slow cannon rights from outside. Laczszyk is scooting back, guard up, then rushing in with a high double jab to blind Diaz as Laczszyk gets close and either ties up or whacks the body with a left hook. Laczszyk is ducking and rolling up close, right on top of Diaz, resting his face on Diaz's stomach after popping up to land a right cross behind a throwaway jab. Diaz chops Laczszyk on the back of the head in the clinch. Body shots by Diaz, not getting any leverage on them Laczszyk glued to him. Diaz tries a right hand, over Laczszyk's head. Laczszyk backs straight up and gets tagged by a long slapping right hand. Laczszyk rushes in and flurries the body.
