77-74 on my card. Good opener, in spite of the fact that I thought the scorecards were a little wide.

Bob Arum just compared Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his negotiating demands with Hitler and the concessions for peace he asked for before the breakout of WWII. :blood

He says he promoted Mayweather for a decade and knows exactly why he won't fight Pacquiao: Mayweather is mortified of facing a southpaw because his defense is tailored for orthodox boxers, and especially a fast southpaw gives him the shivers.

    Round 1

Gonzalez is dancing around Garcia throwing jabs and left-right ear-boxing combos. Garcia is grinning as Gonzalez flits by him, circling and throwing long combos. Garcia walks into an uppercut. Left hook, right hand combos by Gonzalez. Garcia covers up and spins as Gonzalez keeps turning him and flurrying into his gloves. BIG LEFT HOOK BY GARCIA, catching Gonzalez over the right ear as he was coming in, Garcia's first really serious blow, at the end of the round just at the bell, making Gonzalez stagger and nearly fall into a corner, glove possibly brushing the canvas but unseen by the ref, so no count.

10-9 Gonzalez (would've been 10-8 Garcia if there was a ruling there)

    Round 2

Gonzalez is circling left and right putting out two and three punch combos. Garcia reaches out with his jab, falling short. Wild right haymaker by Garcia, missing. Left hook and right uppercut by Garcia, too slow as Gonzalez circles away. Garcia sticks the jab on Gonzalez's nose at mid-range. Gonzalez is backed into the ropes but lands a double right hand to slow Garcia and buy himself time to slink away.

    10-9 Gonzalez

    20-18 Gonzalez

    Round 3

Gonzalez is backing up and throwing long combos. Garcia is plodding after him slugging with overhand rights, raking his arm in after each miss and tossing it right back up. Gonzalez is touching Garcia's arms with his short-burst offensive sequences on the back foot. BIG left hook by Garcia, only grazing but making a loud noise as it connects. Gonzalez seemed to have been looking at the ref for a break there for some reason. He backs off as Garcia moves in looking to capitalize.

    10-9 Gonzalez, close

    30-27 Gonzalez

The wheels are staring to come off for Gonzalez as Garcia gets rolling in round three. I wonder if he can right the ship...

    Round 4

Gonzalez is getting walked across the ring and sitting down on the middle ropes, using them for extra spring as he meets Garcia with flurries, starting with jabs up top and thrusting in both hands up and down. Garcia is working the body, jabbing hard into Gonzalez's guard as he presses him into the ropes and then digging hard with the right downstairs. BIG clubbing rights across the back of the neck by Garcia as Gonzalez ducks by the ropes, still moving his feet. Straight right by Garcia. Gonzalez is cut.

    10-9 Garcia

    39-37 Gonzalez
