Martin's landing that overhand right, and he's got good defense. Castaneda can't find him

    Round 2

Martin is picking off all Castaneda's right hands on his right palm and wrist, tipping and twisting to slip additional shots. Short quick counters by Martin, few and far between but effective. Martin is circling right, drawing Castaneda in and then slipping or parrying all his punches and countering with light jabs to the forehead. Castaneda drills a right over the top and Martin rolls back with it, moving his head down. Left hook to the body by Castaneda.

    10-9 Martin

    20-18 Martin

Even a guy who was fringe top 10 like Pawel Wolak had to keep working between fights.

    20-18 Martin

    10-9 Castaneda

Martin just not active enough in round two. He isn't getting hit clean too often, but he needs to throw more.

    19-19

He has very little power. But he is up 2-0 on my card.

He is slick as hell, but has very little pop.

He came on the scene when he schooled unbeaten smasher Chris Avalos in a fairly big upset. (even though he was unbeaten himself at the time, he was seen as the "opponent" being fed to Avalos...and it was anything but...)

Followed up with a good win over Charles Huerta.

Been on a bad skid lately, seemed to have lost some focus and wasn't looking all that sharp.

He seems to have regained his form, here.

Why haven't they BEEN made available this multiple camera system? ESPN2 needs to have these views available online for all FNFs.

He might as well be from Michigan with that slickness, but yeah clearly he's pretty featherfisted. If he had power Castaneda could have been hurt bad by a few of those big rights.

    Round 3

Martin is dropping down, turtle shell up and knees bent, then popping up and landing counter rights as Castaneda tries to flurry around the sides to head and body. Castaneda is circling left and popping off three and four shots at a time, but not getting through. BIG right hand by Martin out of a crouch. Castaneda shaken. Castaneda circles and jabs, imitating Martin by ducking and weaving on the inside, doing some slipping of his own. Left hook by Martin, flush. More brushing jabs by Castaneda as he circles.

    30-27 Martin

I'm loving the judges view screens. I know there have been times I've seen a fight one way from the audience and another way when I watched the broadcast.

    3-0 Martin.
