    Weird scoring from Teddy Atlas.

He has it a draw, 57-57.

He scored the first 10-8 instead of 10-7, just ignoring the first official knockdown. He also scored the 3rd even, 10-10.

2nd to Vera, 4th-6th to Dzinziruk.

TBF, the 1st knockdown was dubious; I don't think a judge scoring the 1st 10-8 is all that out of line.

    Round 7

Dzinziruk is tagged and goes to the ropes, where he begins ducking and rolling side to side as Vera tries to swing in wide at his head. Double left hand by Dzinziruk while getting out to freedom at center ring. Vera is grunting and throwing clubbing shots trying to push Dzinziruk to the ropes. Dzinziruk is placing his right jab and putting the left cross behind it, flat on the nose of Vera while he's charging. Vera comes flying in with superman right hands. Most of them miss, but Dzinziruk is driven back and grazed by a couple.

    10-9 Dzinziruk

    66-64 Vera

Every judge will probably score that 10-7

As one dimensional dzinziruk is you gotta give him props for sticking to his gameplan despite getting throttled for the first two rounds, not a quality even some of the top guys in the sport have.

I've been a little distracted during this, so I could be off, but I think Dzin deff has this fight much closer than it was.

I'm saying it again: Vera is reminding me a lot of Golovkin in this fight. Conserving movement, stalking in the middle of the ring, taking punches to land bigger punches, and that fricking smile....

Has he always been like this, or has he maybe been influenced by the newly-popular Golovkin? (which would be a good thing.)
