Round 3

Rojas is leading with left hooks, grazing as he backs Aleem up. Aleem is circling to his right, giving Rojas a wide berth. Rojas beckons him in. Aleem is firing quick lead rights at the head from behind his back. Aleem changes directions, orbiting and then moving in and out sleekly with quick jabs. Rojas tries timing him with left hooks and taps himself on the chin to goad Aleem into coming close. Aleem bends over below the waist by the ropes and Rojas clubs him across the back with both arms.

The ref deducted a point from Rojas during the commercial break in between rounds for "unsportsmanlike conduct", apparently. :blood

Atlas has it 28-27 Aleem. Very odd scorecard - he gave the 1st 10-8 to Aleem and would've given Rojas the 3rd but with the deduction had it 9-9.

 

Round 4

Aleem is jabbing Rojas in the face and stepping back to line up the right hand. Rojas is throwing body shots and pounding up top with both hands. Aleem is leaning in on Rojas, then pushing out and doubling up on left hooks to the chin as Rojas tries to force an exchange.

10-9 Aleem, close, sealed it with some very clean punches in the last 10 seconds

40-35 Aleem

 

Round 5

Aleem is boxing and moving, up on the balls of his feet with a spring in his step. Jabs and rights forked in by Aleem while circling quickly. Rojas sweeps out the left hook and nicks Aleem as he circles. Aleem pushes the jab and backpedals quickly, snapping away from the ropes.
