    Round 8

Lock is throwing uppercuts as he floats into the ropes, just arm punches now, drawing Smith in and not putting any snap on them. Smith is flopping in, beaching up on Lock with his chest puffed out and hands down, but is getting where he wants to be and lands a nice right hand as Lock is leaning back on the ropes. Right shovel hook by Lock on the inside. Smith feeds him a jab and pushes him away. Smith's gum shield is out. Time in. Right hook by Lock. Smith stays atop him, wrestling. Lock pirouettes off the ropes and tosses Smith across the Corona logo. Shoeshine to the body by Smith.

10-9 Lock but a better effort by Smith. (maybe the closest to him deserving a 10-9 without a weird questionable flash KD)

    76-74 Lock

    Round 9

Lock is using nice defense, leaning into a backward crouch and folding his arms over each other to let Smith's flurries cascade in and harmlessly offline. Counter straight lefts and uppercuts by Lock, biding his time as Smith jumps and hacks his way in. Smith tries physically exhausting Lock with more bumping and grinding on the inside but Lock is sliding his feet out to buy some more room.

    10-9 Lock

    86-83 Lock

Lonnie Smith's trainer (Skipper Kelp according to ESPN) sounds like Chris Tucker.

I'm with Joe & Teddy on this particular soapbox rant.

Both of Smith's knockdowns were the results of tripping. Yes he threw punches but on each occasion Lock actually blocked them while Smith was stepping on his shoe.

    Round 10

Lock is throwing right hooks and left uppercuts, swinging his arms heavily but with increasingly apparent fatigue. Smith leans in and throws his own arm punches but is a bit more cautious and hesitant. Smith's gum shield is out. A point is deducted this time. Big left hooks to the body by Smith. Lock rallies back with straight combos to the face and big wide right hooks. They're slugging in the center of the ring. Smith shoves Lock back against the ropes and puts a forearm in his throat. Combo by Lock before shoving his way free out to the Corona logo. Uppercut by Smith on Lock's chest, but he eats a counter right hook. BIG left hand by Lock. He loads up another and misses over Smith's shoulder, almost hoisted up on his back as Smith straightens up. Left hook by Smith.

    10-8 Lock

    96-91 Lock
