    Byfeld might have been a bit better than his record suggested, though. He was 4-1 going into the fight, and had scored a couple of wins over undefeated prospects. It was a step back, but not a major one...and given that he's fighting in Boxcino next month at 154, it was an acceptable tune-up.

    30-27 Monroe Jr. He's got that counter left locked in.

    Monroe is muscled into the ropes where Vera whips underhanded shots all over his body. Monroe is cracked with a right uppercut on the bottom of the chin but takes it well, leaning back into the ropes and then sidestepping with right jabs downstairs. Long left by Monroe. Vera chests him into the ropes again, landing more pendulums on the sides. Monroe leans back and whips Vera in the face with a short right hook while turning him as they circle on the Corona logo. Vera is walking through jabs, starting to lean side to side and weave on the way in. Vera lunges and grazes with a jab as Monroe slouches over.
