Hendrix vs. Estrada is starting.

 

Teddy's advice for Estrada is to "put a little water in his basement" - ostensibly because Hendrix has been hurt with body punches, but...

Does that sound suspiciously similar to "pee in his butt" to anybody else or is it just me? :blood

 

Round 1

Estrada is shuffling in semi-wide circles and popping his right jab out, flat-footed. Hendrix is tentative, double-flicking his own right jab from a body length away and pulling anchor quickly to stay out of the pocket. Hendrix is jabbing very carefully to counter Estrada. Now Hendrix starts to lead as Estrada's activity becomes more limited, but it's still just a few cautious jabs from Hendrix...landing and backing away. 1-2 to the body by Hendrix. Again. Estrada tries a right hook to the body, blocked. Estrada lands a BIG left uppercut to the bread basket and then a big left cross to the chin of the stunned and gasping Hendrix just before the bell. Hendrix is in some trouble as they cut to commercial, leaning into and bouncing off the ropes!! :shock:

Whoa. I'm not sure that stole Estrada the round but it will be very interesting to see what shape Hendrix is when we come back.

 

Round 2

Estrada whips away at Hendrix with hooking lefts and rights, gathering momentum throughout the opening minute until he's snowballed into an all-out sloppy frenzy of aggression. Some of the bombs are clipping Hendrix on the side of the head as he bends over and bobs to slip and block the majority of shots. He is bothered by them but is able to keep his legs and stay defensive. Estrada is now walking him down with his right jab up high. Hendrix is backing off and keeping his hands up, but Estrada is smashing him with hard left and right uppercuts to the body diving in face-first through the Hendrix counter right jab.
