    All the criticism Tarver levied against him while commentating his ShoBox appearances remain true, IMO. He was a crude puncher who only improved slightly going to Wild Card. For a "KO artist" he is really not very exciting. He is just another padded-record fraud taking up space; I'd just as soon have space in the CW rankings made for somebody new who is actually worth a damn.

    Joe Cortez blames the controversial outcome in last week's 2014 FNF season debut main event (Barthelemy KO4 Mendez) on bad positioning by the referee.

    He gives an in-ring demonstration with some volunteers standing in as fighters and timekeeper of where the ref should be near the end of a round, and makes some good points.
