That was NOT a fair deduction call, imo.

    Round 8

Lopez with hooks and rights, obviously laboring to put them together but grinding his teeth and doing it. Cordova leans against the ropes and slips, then clinches. Lopez glides around him and jabs to the body. Cordova hops in a beeline straight at Lopez and double-jabs. Lopez reacts to a body shot in the pocket and it is ruled a low blow...correctly. He got hit flush on the top of the right gonad. A point is deducted from Cordova. They resume action and both are swinging hard, resulting in some crashing clinches and a lot of missing both ways. Lopez lands a jab. Cordova lands a hook. They collide against the ropes. Cordova flurries and hits gloves but backs Lopez up to a corner. Lopez gets on his bike as Cordova chases with a jab. Cordova holds and hits on the inside.

On my card, even if Cordova salvaged the last round it would be 77-74 for Lopez including the point deduction...so even the foul shouldn't affect the outcome.

Did anyone else see Lopez pretend to bust a nut on Cordova at the end of the fight ?

EDIT: I know it wasnt his intention to do that, but I was thinking WTF !? When I saw him shake his gloves down there

He definitely punched him in the balls before when he was about to get sparked. And i'm pretty sure that was a legit nut shot.

it was as intentional as cordova's nut shots. meaning: very

    it was also

Would you have wanted more warnings, or did you not feel that was a true babykiller?

Another stupid California rule. I was born and raised here, but sometimes it makes me wonder.
