They turned all the lights off to avoid showing the empty seats. Nobody out here wanted to fight the freeways on a Friday.

    Round 2

Cordova hopping around laterally, swiping with wide counters as Lopez darts forward and tests his chin with compact punches, rolling his upper body into a shell on the way in and out. Cordova takes a left hook on the tip of the chin with his hands low before covering up to defend against a Lopez flurry. Lopez is pressuring well and winning on workrate, shining the shoes in Cordova's belly. Cordova leans back to invite Lopez in and then seesaws back with fat uppercuts trying to catch Lopez asleep at the wheel. Combos from Cordova but ineffective at close range. Big free for all exchange in the final ten seconds, Cordova heavier handed but Lopez landing crisper.

    20-18 Lopez

    Round 3

Cordova flicks out a layer-cake jab and adopts evasive maneuvers. Lopez advances behind a snappier jab, throwing it liberally to the body in particular, and bringing right hands over when Cordova stands still too long. Cordova wings a right uppercut to the ribs and then brings a left hook floating to the opposite side. Lopez pushes them into a corner and they infight down low, with Lopez landing a bit cleaner as usual.

    30-27 Lopez

Apparently solving Povetkin's "inactivity" is solved by pulling him out of fights.. according to Atlas after he was brutally ripped into by the other commentator saying "[Arreola is **** but, at least he's active"]

    Round 4

Lopez works the body well with both fists as Cordova glues his forearms together and puts up a skinny guard. Cordova appears to wither a bit and Lopez is caught with a low blow. Quick recovery. Cordova lands a good lead right through the gloves of a slowing Lopez. A right hand and left hook crash home for Cordova. Quadruple jab squirts into the eye of Lopez. Cordova picks off a couple of flurries while laying on the ropes. Finally a combo from Cordova, mostly hitting air. Then a couple of uppercuts get Lopez hard on the chin. A few more power punches shake the head of Lopez.

    10-9 Cordova

    39-37 Lopez

    Round 5

Lopez coming back strong after losing the previous round, backing Cordova up with a hard 1-2 repetition. Some good sustained aggression from Lopez, while Cordova tries to push Lopez off and get free of the ropes with power punches that lack the appropriate leverage. Cordova leans to his left and unleashes a hook that lands but leaves him open for a right hand that rips him across the face. He stays trapped on the ropes and succeeds only in rounding the corner and getting pressed into the adjacent set of ropes. A lot of hand movement from Cordova while Lopez idles. Cordova outlanding but not damaging Lopez in the last thirty seconds.
