ESPN2: Jason Robert Quigley vs. Freddy Hernández Gómez & Christian González vs. Rey Pérez II RBR

Hernández is still leading, gushing out the Ol' Reliable jab. Both men are ungainly of foot, roaming all over the place and eagerly leaning together for support in both their clinches and their episodes of mutual punching & missing. Hernández is jabbing the body, probably giving him a slight edge in clean landed stuff, although both are mostly hooking into the backs of each other's gloves or jabbing into the air. Quigley trying to load up with right hands every so often, looking for a KO punch, but not aiming well.

Round 9

Hernández is following now as Quigley has suddenly realized he is like half of his age, discovering there is more real estate in the ring than he previously thought. Quigley is skirting along by the ropes, throwing pot shot jabs into the face and steering clear. Much less clinching now, as Quigley is keeping it on the outside, but still not a very aesthetically pleasing round. Both just grazing or missing with jabs, but Quigley's touching more fully and more often as he controls the range & pace, making Hernández lunge.

Round 10

Hernández is poking at the chest & mandible of Quigley with both hands, creeping forward. Quigley is dancing away, flicking counter jabs into the face and occasionally stopping to swivel and lash a left hook against Hernández's flank before resuming his lateral movement. Hernández walks him into the ropes and they both hold and hit for a spell. Sloppy body combo by Quigley standing in the pocket as Hernández struggles to even lift his tired arms to summon any more flurries.
