    González is now pushed against the ropes in a bit of role-reversal. Pérez turns southpaw and starts whipping the Mexican with right hooks and big scything overhand lefts. González is very badly hurt and wobbled into the ropes, but lurches in for an opportune clinch, which keeps him upright. Big looping left doubled up by Pérez and González goes to a knee. González's eye swollen. Pérez rushes him against the ropes and starts dialing in a straight combo but Lou Moret steps between them as González shows no sign of adequately defending himself.

    So while glancing at Boxrec did one else notice how many times Gonzalez had been involved in headclashes that resulted in a cut(usually on his end) there were several instances if I remember correctly....

    He probably won't have to worry about him much longer. The kid falls now to 19-3, losing all three of his biggest steps up in class and is still as much a bonehead as when Duno stopped him. I'd wager that GBP is going to drop him like a bad habit, and then he'll probably just quit the sport.

    His best wins have come against VERY shot old Mexicans, and Gemino who is a decent trial horse but arguably just barely even top 15 in the Philippines in his weight class. Any prospect luster Chimpa once had is totally evaporated by now.

    Heck of a 2018 for the Sindangan Technician, btw...

    The pair of wins over Chimpa, plus he knocked out Marroquin and bravely took Duarte the distance. And he is scheduled for a fifth outing in December, a six rounder with opponent TBD.
